An unseasonably warm Sunday across the Ozarks was actually hot enough to break a record.

The National Weather Service says its office in Springfield reported 73, beating the previous record by a degree. It was set back in 1970.

Vichy-Rolla reported 73 on Sunday. The previous high there was 71 in 1982.

West Plains also hit a record-breaking 73. 1950 held the previous record high at 71.

Another warm day is in store for Monday with rain possible by late afternoon.
