An annual event that happens on the first Sunday in December is going on in Springfield today. The Marine Corps. Toys for Tots Bike Run. Participants are hoping they can bring a smile to a child's face this Christmas with the toy donations.
Spokesman Randy Bowman says over 800 bikers participated in last year's frigid temperatures, this year he's expecting around 1500 riders.
The bike run begins at Friendly Ford on South Glenstone and will head northbound with a police escort to Transport Graphics just north of Chestnut Expressway.
