Fort Leonard Wood Needs Volunteers At Tax Center
Free tax services are available to soldiers and their families at Fort Leonard Wood, but officials with the Tax Center need help to make it happen.
The center says volunteers are vital to accomplishing the mission, and folks are asked to donate their time by answering phones, scheduling appointments, and assisting with tax return preparation.
If you'd like to help, you must be able to complete the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance training, which will be offered 9am-5pm December 10th-14th.
The Tax Center, which filed more than 2,500 federal tax returns in the last year, is scheduled to open to the public from January 14th-April 19th, 2013.
