Cop Dragged, Suspect Shot In Eastern Missouri
VILLA RIDGE, Mo. (AP) - A suspect has been shot and a police officer was dragged during a chase through eastern Missouri
. KMOV-TV reports police have been seeking 31-year-old Timothy Kalter in connection with a stolen car.
When an officer spotted Kalter yesterday and tried to turn off the car, the suspect allegedly accelerated.
The station reports that as the officer was being dragged, the officer shot Kalter in the arm and torso.
