Republic Police Searching For Missing Autistic Boy
Police and fire officials from Republic are looking for a missing autistic boy who has not been seen since late Thanksgiving Day afternoon.
Officials tell KTTS News the 11-year-old boy was wearing a red shirt and tan colored pants when he disappeared.
A command post has been set up at Lyon Elementary School and tracking dogs from Springfield Police and the Highway Patrol requested to help in the search.
Officers have been going through fields and checking places the boy has been known to frequent, such as a tree fort and a burned-out house.
Along with the tracking dogs thermal imaging cameras are being used to look for the boy.
