Cattle Rustlers Operate In The 21st Century, Too
You may think cattle rustlers are a thing from the old west, far in the past.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says it still goes on in the 21st century and problems are growing right here in the Ozarks.
The number of cattle thefts is on the rise in Greene, Stone and Dade Counties
Sergeant Jason Pace tells KTTS News suspicious behavior might include someone pulling a stock trailer after dark or vehicles stopping for long periods of time near fields.
He says rustlers may stake out what they plan to snatch by marking fence posts around fields with plastic bags or spray paint.
