Charges are pending against the father of two children who were wounded by shotgun pellets over the weekend.

Jasper County Sheriff's Captain Derek Walrod tells KTTS News that he wants people to know the kids, ages 2 and 4 did not  suffer any life-threatening injuries and they are going to be fine.

The mother and father of the children got into an argument inside their home when another relative tried to break it up and a shotgun ended up the mix.

Walrod says the fight moved to the relative's home close by and the shotgun when off in there.

The father is looking at several felonies including domestic violence, unlawful use of a weapon and being a convicted felon in possession of a gun.
