Flags Flying At Half Staff For Arkansas Solider Killed In Afghanistan
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Flags at the Arkansas Capitol will fly at half-staff to honor a soldier from Booneville who was killed in Afghanistan.
The governor's office announced Monday that flags will be at half-staff until sundown on Wednesday.
The Defense Department on Sunday announced that Sgt. Joseph A. Richardson was killed along with two other soldiers when they came under attack in Paktika province.
Richardson died when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device and small arms fire.
