Conservation Dept. Says Birds May Have Been Runover
The state conservation department says biologists aren't for sure why a group of birds was found dead on a Springfield street over the weekend.
A spokesman says the best guess is the starlings were likely on the ground feeding when they were probably hit by a truck.
Starlings usually feed in big groups in the hundreds to the thousands.
