MSU Bears Take On 23rd Ranked San Diego State

The last time the MSU Bears basketball team beat a Top 25 opponent at home was also the last time the Bears played a game at Hammons Student Center.

Missouri State (1-0) will be looking for its first homecourt win against a ranked opponent since February, 2008 when the Bears take on #23 San Diego State today at JQH Arena. Tipoff is 1:05 p.m.

MSU is coming off a season opening 89-61 win over Philander Smith at JQH Arena on November 9th.

The Aztecs (1-1) lost their season opener last Sunday to Syracuse 62-49 in a game played on the deck of the USS Midway in San Diego, then won at home over San Diego Christian 91-57 on Tuesday.

Anthony Downing, Keith Pickens, Drew Wilson, Dorrian Williams and Christian Kirk are in the Bears starting lineup this afternoon, while the Aztecs go with Xavier Thames, J.J. O'Brien, Jamaal Franklin, Chase Tapley, and Deshawn Stephens.
