Elite Schools Team Up On Online Program
ST. LOUIS (AP) - Washington University in St. Louis is joining a network of other elite universities such as Duke, Notre Dame and Northwestern to offer online courses for credit.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the project called Semester Online is considered a big step for top-notch universities that have previously been reluctant to utilize online courses.
The Semester Online program announced Thursday will be available to undergraduate students.
Courses will be taken through live classroom settings. It will launch next fall.
