Kitchen Fire Generates Smoke In West Springfield Home
No serious damage or injuries after a kitchen fire brought Springfield firefighters to a neighborhood on the west side of town southeast of Kansas Expressway and Sunshine Wednesday night.
Some light smoke was seen coming from the house in the 1900 block of South Meyer near Latoka.
A woman living there told firefighters she had been cooking when the fire started, which created a good amount of smoke.
The 2-story house did sustain some smoke damage and large fans were used to ventilate the home.
