Taney County Being Audited
JEFFERSON CITY – State Auditor Tom Schweich announced today that his office has started an audit of Taney County government.
The audit was requested by the Taney County Commission and Taney County taxpayers will pay for the costs associated with the audit.
State law gives first class county commissioners the authority to request audits of their government.
The audit will focus primarily on calendar year 2012 and the final report is expected to be released sometime in the summer of 2013.
