Arkansas Medical Pot Issue Loses Big In Rural Areas
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A failed proposal to legalize medical marijuana saw the strongest support in Arkansas' urban areas and in a handful of Mississippi Delta counties while rural areas overwhelmingly rejected the measure.
In Boone, Cleveland, Howard, Pike, Sevier and White counties, at least 60 percent of voters opposed the proposal.
Voters in Colorado and Washington state legalized marijuana for recreational use on Tuesday.
