Storms Possible By This Weekend Ahead Of Cold Blast
Don't get used to the warming trend over the next several days, because a major blast of cold air is on the way to the Ozarks.
The National Weather Service in Springfield says a cold front will bring showers with a chance for thunderstorms and heavy rainfall late Saturday into Sunday.
Instability is in question, so meteorologists say there could be strong storms, but the risk for severe weather is uncertain.
Highs on Monday should remain in the lower 40's, then into the upper 40's by next Tuesday.
