Nixon Says Missouri's Economy Improved Under His Watch

(MoNET) - Governor Jay Nixon says Missouri's unemployment rate is steadily going down, proof that the state's economy is improving.  H

He says the payoff is more jobs and we need to keep moving forward.

Nixon says when he took office the unemployment rate was 8.6 percent, its now stands at 6.9  percent.

GOP challenger Dave Spence says Missouri has actually lost jobs, and he was in Springfield this week in front of the now-closed Solo Cup plant to make his point.
