Update: Springfield Mobile Home That Burned Was Vacant
Flames had pretty much chewed their way through a mobile home in west Springfield by the time the first firefighters had arrived on the scene Sunday night.
Fire Marshal Bill Spence tells KTTS News the trailer at 630 North Dexter, north of Chestnut Expressway was vacant, no one had lived there for a while, and there were no utilities hooked up to the dwelling.
He says the investigation continues, but for now the cause of the fire will be listed as undetermined.
Spence says the fire did start in one of the back bedrooms.
A nearby trailer at Springfield Mobile Home Park sustained some minor damage.
No one was hurt.
