Food and water are headed to the northeast on board a truck from Springfield-based Convoy of Hope that left Sunday morning.

A large truck was filled with food, water, and juice for people who will be suffering once Hurricane Sandy makes landfall.

Spokesman Jeff Nene says disaster officials sugested they head to Pennsylvania and wait for Hurricane Sandy.

He says they of course may be told by the National Weather Service or FEMA to head to another spot once the storm has hit.
