The Greene County Clerk's office is open from nine to one this afternoon, and for the following two Saturdays for anyone needing to cast an absentee ballot in the November election.
County Clerk Richard Struckhoff says the extra hours are set aside for people who can't make it to the polls November 6th, and they are great for absentee voters who want to avoid weekday parking headaches and other traffic problems around the courthouse.
The deadline for turning in a request for an absentee ballot is 5pm October 31.
Those voting absentee by mail must make sure their written request for a ballot arrives at the clerk's office by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, October 31 in order to be processed.
Call the clerk's office at 868-4060 if you have any questions.
