The National Weather Service says strong winds will be the main threat from storms that form Saturday.

Meteorologist Andy Boxell says severe weather will be possible mainly Saturday night -- mainly across Kansas and parts of far western Missouri.

Strong winds will be the main threat.

Boxell tells KTTS News there's a chance the Ozarks could see some severe weather, but most of it is expected to taper off before it reaches the KTTS listening area.

Heavy rain fell across parts of the Ozarks Friday morning.

Boxell says one to two inches fell in Republic and Halltown.

Up to five inches fell in parts of McDonald and Newton Counties.
