Clerk Foils Attempted Armed Robbery Of Best Western In Springfield

Nobody was hurt, and police in Springfield are looking for a man who tried to hold up the Best Western Motel on Glenstone in Springfield earlier this morning.
Police say the man was armed with a knife and demanded the clerk give him money. When the clerk refused, the man went behind the counter and again asked for the money, after the clerk said no a second time, the man was spooked by a police car and ran from the motel.
Nobody was hurt, and no money was taken.
Police hope security video will them identify the attempted robber.
