Cardinals Send Carpenter In Game Three of NLDS

WASHINGTON D.C (AP)  -  The St. Louis Cardinals send Chris Carpenter to the mound this afternoon as the defending World Champions hope to go up two games to one against the Washington Nationals in game three of the NLDS.

This will be the first post season same in Washington since 1933.

The Cardinals have named rookie Shelby Miller to the roster to replace Jaime Garcia who strained the rotator cuff in his pitching shoulder.

First pitch this afternoon is 12:07 p.m.
