Man Struck By Car Near Battlefield Mall In Critical Condition

A man has suffered critical injuries are he was struck by a car while he was walking on Glenstone Avenue near the Battlefield Mall earlier this morning.
Springfield police say the driver did not see the man before he could stop.
Police say alcohol was not a factor and the victim was wearing dark colored clothing.
It's unlikely charges will be filed.
The man is being treated for critical injuries at a local hospital.
