$1.2 Million Federal Grant For Springfield Fire Department
Thanks to some federal money, eight more fighters will soon join the Springfield fire department.
The eight are now undergoing training and will soon be added to the department.
The city of Springfield and the Missouri State Council of Firefighters will talk about the impact of the $1.2 million grant today, during a news conference at the Springfield Regional Police and Fire Training Center on West Battlefield at 1:30 p.m.
