Joplin Police Offers Tips For Crime Prevention Month

Police in Joplin are taking a chance to help folks understand how they can prevent crime. It's part of

a campaign going on around the country as October is National Crime Prevention Month.
 
Accordign to a press release On October 25, the Joplin Police Department will host two classes to discuss the basics of CPTED and to offer some suggestions on ways that citizens can use their environment to reduce crime and the fear of crime.
 
The first class will take place from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and will be focused towards the business community. The second class will take place from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and will be focused towards the residential community.
