Woman Tries To Rob Bank In Joplin

On October 5th, 2012 at 1711 hours the Joplin Police Department responded to US Bank, 2801 East 32nd Street, for a robbery in progress.
A female went to the walk up window by the drive-thru lanes on the north side of the bank and put a note in the drawer for the teller demanding money. The teller did not give the female any money and she left the bank lot on foot.
A responding officer located the female in a parking lot south of the bank and she was taken into custody. The name of the female suspect is being withheld at this time pending formal charges through the Jasper County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
