House Fire In South-Central Springfield

Springfield firefighters have been dealing with a pre-dawn house fire on Wayland just off Jefferson.
First arriving units reported flames were consuming the porch and starting to creep up the front of the two story house.
Police are having to provide traffic control because fire hoses are down across Roanoke and Jefferson.
Its too early to know what started the fire.
There are no reports of injuries and the house is believed to be vacant.
