Police in Joplin say a woman is behind bars pending the filing of attemped bank robbery charges.

Around closing time Friday a woman came to the walk up window near the drive-thru lanes at the US Bank branch on East 32nd Street.

She slipped the teller a note demanding cash.

When the teller refused the woman walked away and was nabbed by cops in a parking lot south of the bank.

No weapon was displayed and no injuries reported.
