As a body found floating in Truman Lake is being investigated as a homicide, the search for a girl from Willard heats up.

Greene County Sheriff's Major Phil Corcoran says Khighla Parks is 15 and five-foot-nine. She was last seen September 20-th near Highways A-B and E-E.

The family tells KTTS News that investigators from Benton County have taken a toothbrush and hairbrush that belonged to Khighlia,  trying to get a D-N-A match.

Major Corcoran says they've had 43 teens reported missing so far this year in Greene County and Khighla had been reported missing before.

He's asking for anyone who may have information about Khighla to call authorities.

The sheriff's department says the body found in Truman Lake had been weighted down.

It's a white woman or girl between 13 and 20 who was roughly five-foot-eight.

Khighla Parks is 5'09", 145 pounds, blue eyes and light brown, long hair.

You can call 9-1-1, the Greene County Sheriff's Office at 868-4040 or Crime Stoppers at 869-TIPS if you have any information on this case.
