German Company Buy SE Missouri Company
JACKSON, Mo. (AP) - A southeast Missouri manufacturing company has been bought by a German company.
The Southeast Missourian reports that Nordenia, which has two packaging plants in Cape Girardeau County, has been acquired by Mondi, which is headquartered in Greven, Germany.
Nordenia employs about 400 people in southeast Missouri. Mondi is an international packaging and paper group and has operations in 29 countries.
A letter sent Monday to Nordeni'a suppliers says Nordenia will be known as Mondi Jackson, Inc. It will be part of Mondi's Europe & International Division under its Consumer Packaging business unit.
