Last December,  Joplin received about a half a million dollars from the EPA to cover the costs of soil sampling because of lead that was exposed during the tornado recovery in 2011.

This morning,  the EPA will be back in town meeting with city officials and reporters about more funding that's on its way to the city as it continues to rebuild from the tornado that killed 161.

A news conference is being held at 11 a.m. at Parr Hill Park at East 18th South Kansas Avenue.
