LITTLE ROCK, Ark.  (AP) -  Arkansas football coach John Smith has amended his bankruptcy filing with documents showing his finances are worse off than initially reported.

The filing yesterday shows Smith has $40.7 million in liabilities and only $1.3 million in assets.

His previous filing with the federal court listed $25.7 million in debts and $1.2 million in assets.

No word on how the filing will affect his status with the school.
