A man from Springfield has been charged after police say he broke into the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church on South Fremont Tuesday night.

Authorities say Bobby McHaffie did some damage to the church and had a gun as he apparently looked for money.

Two priests and a Boy Scout leader made it out unharmed.

McHaffie is charged with first-degree burglary, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.
