Deer Hunting Season Underway in Missouri
ST. CHARLES, Mo. (AP) - Missouri's deer hunting season is now underway, and Governor Jay Nixon is urging hunters to help families who are in need.
Nixon was traveling to Columbia, Independence and St. Charles today to speak at Bass Pro Shops and to encourage deer hunters around the state to donate venison to the annual Share the Harvest Program which donates the meat to food banks around the state.
