Man Off To Prison For Putting Out Hit On Wife
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - A northeastern Kansas man is facing up to ten years in prison after admitting he tried to hire someone to kill his wife.
Lee Smith of Basehor entered his plea yesterday in U.S. District Court in Kansas City, where the plot was hatched earlier in the year.
Smith admitted to contacting a man from Kansas City and offering him $1,500 to murder his wife.
