Second Hy-Vee Planned For Springfield
Another Hy-Vee Supermarket may be built in Springfield.
The Springfield-News Leader says the company wants to build a 86,000 square foot store on East Sunshine and Luster, very similar to the store on West Battlefield Road and Kansas Expressway.
If the city planning and zoning commission gives its OK on Thursday, the wheels will be set in motion to make the second store a reality.
Their store on Battlefield, which opened about a year ago, employees more than 500 and includes a coffee shop, gas station, pharmacy, deli and food court along with groceries and other items.
