College Student Arrested For Sexual Assault Is From Springfield
A prominent student from Springfield has been charged with sexual assault at Southern Methodist University in Texas.
Sophomore John David Mahaffey was arrested for sex crimes against another male student. According to the school, Mahaffey is very bright and active in both student government as well as a fraternity.
The Dallas County D.A.'s Office says the case hasn't been filed with prosecutors yet and Mahaffey is out on $25,000 bond.
