Rogerville Bank Robber Arrested At Springfield Intersection
A man accused of robbing the Citizen's Bank in Rogersville has been arrested at the intersection of Glenstone and Sunshine in Springfield.
Greene County Sheriff Jim Arnott tells KTTS Assistant News Director Nancy Simpson that a deputy spotted the suspect's Toyota Tundra around Glenstone and Chestnut and starting following the suspected robber.
Sheriff Arnott says he was in the area, in an unmarked car, and was able to get in front of the suspect in traffic and keep him from continuing when the light turned green.
The suspect was arrested without a fight. He was armed. Authorities say he pulled that gun on the clerk at the bank in Rogersville.
Arnott says the robber had his back license plate covered with a glove.
His plates are from out of state and the sheriff believes the suspect is, also.
