The National Weather Service has cancelled a flash flood watch that had been in effect this morning for Barton, Cedar, Hickory and St. Clair Counties.

Forecasters say with heavy rains moving out of that area, the risk for flash flooding has decreased.

Folks in southwest Missouri can still expect additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms today and tonight as a slow moving cold front moves into the area.

There is somewhat of a risk for localized flash flooding for areas along and north of the Highway 60 corridor.
