Blunt Promises To Work For Akin Ticket
A month after calling on Congressman Todd Akin to drop out of Missouri's senate race, Senator Roy Blunt now says he will work for Akin's election.
Blunt was among a group of leading Republicans who urged Akin to drop his challenge to Senator Claire McCaskill after Akin's statement that women's bodies can avert pregnancy for what he called, "legitimate rape."
Blunt issued a statement saying he and Akin don't always agree, but they do agree that the senate majority needs to change.
