Update: Man From Battlefield Hurt After Car Hits Brookline Fire Truck

A man from Battlefield is in a local hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries after his car struck the rear of a Brookline fire truck.
Troopers say 27 year old Brock Elders lost control of his car on Highway 266 near Highway AB, nine miles west of Springfield. Nobody else was hurt.
Firefighters had been mopping up at the scene of a vacant house fire when the crash took place.
