Prosecutor Says Homeowner Assaulted Volunteer Firefighter
A man from Crane is facing assault charges following a fire on his property.
Prosecutors say a volunteer firefighter was going to refuel a truck when the homeowner John Wegrzyn assaulted a firefighter.
The incident ended with Firefighter Lex Pearson on the ground.
Wegrzyn is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Barry county.
