KENNETT, Mo. (AP) - A southeast Missouri man is accused of assaulting his wife with hot grease, causing burns over part of her body.

The Kennett Daily Dunklin Democrat reports that the 40-year-old suspect is expected to face charges of assault and domestic violence.

Police were called to a home in Kennett Monday morning and found a woman covered with oil. Police say she had blisters covering her face, back and neck.

The victim told police she was cooking with a Fry Daddy cooker.

She said her husband picked it up and threw it at her, and the grease hit her upper body.
