Gunman Holed Up Inside Springfield Apartment
Neighbors have been told to hunker down as police try and get a gunman to come out of an apartment in Springfield.
Just after getting reports of several shots fired nearby, officers say they got a call about a man running to an apartment building off Cherry Street between Kimbrough and Thomas. Police say the man held a gun to his own head and backed into the building. He's holed up in the basement.
KTTS Reporter Chase Snider at the scene says several officers are set up across the street with assault rifles. So far, there have been no reports of injuries.
