A massive wildfire in Polk County, north of Morrisville, has now been contained.
Greene County Emergency management says more than 100 firefighters from two dozen departments spent most of the day battling the flames, which were fueled by southerly winds and very hot and dry conditions.
More than a 1000 acres were burned, but nobody was hurt and no buildings were damaged.
Crews will remain on the scene to watch for hot spots.
Officials don't know what touched off the fire.
