A teenager in Springfield has been convicted of first-degree murder for shooting his classmate to death two years ago.
James Duke is 19 and had claimed self defense.
A judge didn't buy it.
Hillcrest High School student Cody Ray died on his front porch.
Duke will be sentenced at the end of November.
