Thousands Heading Back To College In Springfield
They coming back to Missouri State, OTC, Drury and others to continue or start classes today.
Those students are also music to the ears of local merchants. Quite a few dollars in fact.
Not only for downtown, but other places see an uptick in their business when classes resume.
One estimate says based on Springfield's 50,000 students, the local economy will benefit by the millions.
Nationwide, Insider Magazine says kids spend more than $11 billion on snacks and beverages alone.
