Fireworks Back On In Springfield
Commercial fireworks displays in Springfield are being allowed again. A spokesman for the fire department says requests will be considered on a case by case basis. The ban is being lifted after Thursday night thunderstorms dumped as much as three inches of rain near Highway 65 and Evans Road. The National Weather Service reports more than two inches fell across south Springfield.
