Lawrence County Homeowners Getting Flood Insurance

All that's needed in approval from state and federal regulators and homeowners in Lawrence County, who want it, will be eligible for FEMA issued flood insurance.
Last week, voters said yes by an 81 percent margin.
As soon as the county completes the paperwork, within 30 to 45 days, the request will be forwarded to FEMA.
County leaders say the National Flood Insurance program is cheaper than anything else available.
