Crash On I-44 Throws Man From Car Before It Catches On Fire
An early morning crash on the Interstate about five miles west of Springfield has left a man with serious injuries.
Trooers say Lloyd Moore was traveling eastbound with two other people when the SUV he was riding in swerved to avoid a deer and ran off the road.
According to a Highway Patrol Crash Report, Moore was thrown from the SUV after it flipped over and then caught fire.
He was airlifted to a local hospital.
